Minecraft Whitelist Servers. Whitelist servers are considered private, you may only join if your username is white-listed by the owner. It is a method to prevent unauthorized access to the server, only the players you add in the list may enter and play. Your OP and Whitelist may not work anymore and your playerdata (inventory, position, achievements) will probably be lost. Just change it back if you changed it accidentally. If you want your OP- and White-list to work again after changing that option you have to remove all players from these lists and add them again.

Manages the server whitelist.
In Java Edition, server ops can always connect when the whitelist is active, even if their profiles do not appear in the whitelist. In Bedrock Edition, players must be whitelisted regardless of op status. The profiles of the whitelisted players are stored in the whitelist.json configuration file.
Syntax[edit]
whitelist add <targets>
(Java Edition)whitelist add <name: string>
(Bedrock Edition)- Adds the player profile(s) to the whitelist. The player does not need to be online.
whitelist list
- Displays all player profiles in the whitelist.
whitelist off
- Disables the server's use of a whitelist.
whitelist on
- Enables the server's use of a whitelist.
whitelist reload
- Reloads the list of player profiles in
whitelist.json
from disk (used whenwhitelist.json
has been modified outside of Minecraft).

whitelist remove <targets>

: game_profile- Must be a collection of game profiles (player profiles), which can be a player name (must be a real one if the server is in online mode), or a player-type target selector.
- Specifies the player profile(s) to be added to or removed from the whitelist.
BE:

: basic_string- Must be either a single word (no spaces) or a quoted string.
- Specifies the player name(s) to be added to or removed from the whitelist.
